AVT's technology group has been working for several years on original inventive technology for its line of PC based vending products when it developed a means of vending products digitally, such as movies, games, and music, in a manner that preserves copyright and prevents piracy. In March 2009 at its open house event, AVT announced the patent pending technology underlying the Flix On Stix program. This technology is a secure means of transferring digital content such as movies or video games to a USB memory stick for limited time playback, thereby creating the perfect digital content rental system. At the open house, it was explained that the rental and file transfer program is the next bright superstar in the entertainment rental industry. |
